Duties:

  • Mediate family law cases
  • Represent clients in trials
  • Research and analyze complex legal issues
  • Draft memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents
  • Maintain discretion to protect sensitive information
  • Communicate effectively with clients, court personnel, and colleagues
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Market legal services to prospective clients
  • Perform discovery of electronic and hard copy information
  • Conduct due diligence for legal matters such as contracts and mergers
  • Maintain a schedule for client consultations
  • Update case management system with relevant information
  • Engage in brand expansion through blogging and social media
  • Seek positive feedback and reviews from clients
  • Perform other assigned job duties as needed

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the bar in the state of practice
  • 4-6 years of experience practicing family law
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
  • Strong legal research skills
