The PwC Professional in the State and Local Tax (SALT) practice will help clients identify and solve complex state and local tax issues and provide consulting for tax planning opportunities. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of tax professionals and providing guidance and support to clients in various industries. Your expertise in state and local tax laws and regulations will be crucial in developing effective strategies for clients to minimize their tax burden and comply with applicable laws.

As a Manager in the SALT practice, you will work with a team of problem solvers to assist clients with a wide range of state and local tax issues. This includes helping clients navigate new tax laws, restructuring their businesses, and staying up to date on changes in tax legislation and policies. You will also have the opportunity to develop relationships with clients and provide them with valuable insights and recommendations to support their overall business objectives.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
4+ years of experience in state and local tax, including income and franchise tax planning, compliance, and audit defense
CPA certification, membership in the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity
Master's degree in Taxation or Political Science preferred
Thorough knowledge of state and local tax laws, including multi-state income tax planning, compliance, and audit defense
Technical skills in areas such as FAS 109, unitary filing, apportionment methodologies, and tax research
Strong understanding of automation and digitization in a professional services environment
Experience with pricing tools and alternative fee arrangements
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and community members
Excellent communication and leadership skills
