A law firm in Salt Lake City is seeking a Mid- to Senior-level Tax Associate Attorney to advise clients on a broad range of corporate, partnership, and individual income tax matters in the context of transactions. The ideal candidate should have significant experience with a broad range of tax matters, particularly in tax credit transactions, and preferably possess experience and willingness to assist in sophisticated tax controversy matters.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and advice to clients on corporate, partnership, and individual income tax matters.
  • Assist clients with tax planning and structuring transactions to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Handle tax credit transactions and provide guidance on related regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in sophisticated tax controversy matters if needed.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on tax issues.
  • Draft legal memoranda, opinions, and other tax-related documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and regulatory authorities.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment to address client needs.

 

Requirements:

  • Significant experience with a broad range of tax matters.
  • Experience and willingness to assist in sophisticated tax controversy matters preferred.
  • Strong academic background with solid training in tax law.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues proactively.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
