A law firm is seeking a Government Contracts Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience in federal government contracts from a top-tier, in-house, or government law firm. The successful candidate must have an outstanding academic record, strong interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated track record of working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Overview:

The Government Contracts Associate Attorney will provide legal counsel and support to clients involved in government contracting matters. This role requires a deep understanding of federal regulations, bid protests, contract disputes, compliance investigations, and M&A transactions within the government contracts space.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance on federal government contracts, including compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Represent clients in bid protests before the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and . Court of Federal Claims.
  • Litigate claims under the Contract Disputes Act (CDA) on behalf of clients.
  • Conduct internal investigations related to compliance, internal controls, and procurement fraud.
  • Conduct due diligence in support of M&A transactions involving government contracts.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver.
  • 3-6 years of experience in government contracts law from a reputable law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency.
  • Strong understanding of federal regulations, including the FAR, DFARS, and agency supplements.
  • Proven track record of successful representation in bid protests, contract disputes, and compliance investigations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver.
