Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a dynamic Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Menlo Park, CA team. The successful candidate will be pivotal in handling patent litigation matters for top clients, engaging in district court actions, inter-part reviews, and licensing negotiations.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in patent litigation matters, including district court actions and inter partes reviews.
  • Conducted legal research and drafted pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates to develop case strategy and provide legal advice to clients.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and other court proceedings as required.

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of relevant experience in intellectual property litigation.
  • Admitted to practice law in California.
  • Strong understanding of patent law and procedures.
  • Proven experience litigating intellectual property disputes, particularly district court patent cases or PTAB proceedings.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • A bachelor's degree in a science- or technology-related field is preferred.
  • A background in electrical engineering, computer science, or physics is desirable.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Legal research and writing proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
