AIG’s IT functions include application development and management, enterprise architecture, and technology risk and compliance.

How you will create an impact:

As an Assistant Vice President, Application Engineering, you will be primarily working with cloud-based platforms like ECS, PCF, EKS, and Mule. You will be assigned tasks by an IT Manager for both maintenance and project work. The following skill set is required:

• Experience in developing and deploying high availability architecture solutions.
• Strong understanding of Tomcat, JDK, and container platforms such as PCF, ECS, and EKS.
• Configure, manage, and integrate various domains on Mule MRE.
• Troubleshoot and set up new Mule infrastructure.
• Design, develop, implement, and support services using SOA DataPower appliances.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and conduct performance tuning and logging.
• Familiar with general security concepts such as authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signatures, PKI concepts, and SSL.
• Monitor and support web interface applications as well as back-end services deployed on IBM and Tomcat based application servers/containers.
• Perform upgrades to major Websphere products and third-party products used within the environment.
• Responsible for defining technical solutions, providing architectural guidance, and offering technical leadership to infrastructure technical resources and business systems analysts.
• Deliver well-designed and engineered solutions that seamlessly integrate with the existing IT architecture.
• Design and implement various scales and types of application security architectures.
• Architect and deliver secure, scalable, and highly available systems infrastructure and disaster recovery site.
• Direct site and platform migration efforts and partner with security and infrastructure teams to enhance protection from DDoS and other attack vectors.
• Advise management on application and supporting technology purchases and suggest environment upgrades/modifications.
• Provide input into the technology plan for the IT organization and ensure that applications are integrated effectively with the technical infrastructure.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• 7+ years of experience in supporting and deploying high availability architecture solutions.
• Strong understanding of application runtime and container platforms.
• Experience configuring, managing, and integrating various application runtime platforms and troubleshooting.
• Experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting services using AWS cloud-based services.
• Master's degree in Computer Information Systems.
