A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a Mid-Level Commercial and Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney with 4+ years of experience. The ideal candidate should have law firm experience, strong writing and oral advocacy skills, and a demonstrated interest or experience in complex litigation, including soft IP, unfair competition, or consumer class actions.

 

Duties:

  • Manage cases and client relationships effectively
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various litigation matters
  • Take depositions and prepare witnesses for deposition
  • Propound written discovery requests and respond to discovery requests
  • Argue motions in court, including motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, preliminary injunctions, or class certification briefing
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on litigation matters
  • Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on case strategy and development

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in California
  • 4+ years of experience in commercial and intellectual property litigation
  • Experience managing cases and drafting various legal documents
  • Strong writing and oral advocacy skills
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in complex litigation, soft IP, unfair competition, or consumer class actions
  • Clerkship and court experience is a plus

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Active license to practice law in California
