Job Title: Tax Senior - Real Estate Tax (Central Region Office Locations) Experience: 3+ years Salary: $68,180 - $144,300 (with potential for discretionary annual incentive program) Position Summary: - Seeking experienced tax professional with knowledge of partnership allocation methodologies, Subchapter K, and tax compliance for real estate funds. - Opportunity to work with cutting-edge tax technologies in the real estate industry. - Join a growing team as a Senior Tax Consultant and provide tax compliance and consulting services to investment management clients. - Recruiting for this role ends on June 1, 2024. Work You'll Do: - Perform detail-level reviews of partnership work papers, allocations, and tax returns. - Prepare materials and research for consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities. - Coordinate and communicate with client contacts to gather information for tax returns. - Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced-level tax staff. - Attend required Deloitte Tax LLP and sector-specific trainings. The Team: - Cross-functional industry group comprised of over 2,800 partners, managers, and staff. - Provides assurance, advisory, tax, enterprise risk, regulatory, and consulting services to a broad range of Investment Management companies. - Clients include investment advisers, administrators, managers, broker-dealers, banks, insurance companies, mutual funds, and more. Qualifications: Required: - Ability to work in a hybrid model with in-person co-location 2-3 days per week. - 3+ years experience providing tax planning services or preparing client work papers and income tax returns. - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field. - One of the following accreditations: CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, CFA, or CFP. - Basic understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and tax compliance for real estate funds. - Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment. - Ability to travel up to 25% based on work and clients served. Preferred: - Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM. - Experience working in a virtual and/or global environment. - Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions. - Experience with ASC740 and accounting for income taxes. - Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience. - Excellent research, writing, presentation, and communication skills.
