A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Labor And Employment Associate Attorney for their Los Angeles, CA, office. The ideal candidate will:

Job Overview:

The Mid-Level Labor And Employment Associate Attorney will counsel and represent management clients on a broad spectrum of employment matters, including EEO counseling, wage and hour litigation, employee benefits, executive compensation, and international employment law issues.

Duties:

  • Counsel and represent management clients of all sizes on various employment matters.
  • Handle brief writing for key motions and manage discovery processes.
  • Take responsibility for drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Ideally, have experience in court appearances and depositions, taking and defending.
  • Work on wage, hour, and/or employment class action/PAGA matters.
  • Provide employment counseling with a management-side law firm approach.
  • Manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Conduct thorough research and maintain high-quality writing standards.

Requirements:

  • Possess 4-6 years of significant litigation experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in brief writing and discovery management.
  • Exposure to wage and hour and/or employment class action/PAGA matters preferred.
  • Employment counseling experience with a management-side law firm.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • JD degree or equivalent.
  • Admitted to California and in good standing or in the process of becoming admitted.

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in California.

Skills:

  • Strong litigation skills.
  • Proficiency in brief writing and discovery management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment law.
