A law firm in Palo Alto is seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with a strong interest in employment litigation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials, writing and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Eligibility for, or current licensure to practice law in California is required. Preferably, candidates will have 2-5 years of experience in employment litigation, employment counseling, and traditional labor work.

 

Duties:

  • Handle employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims.
  • Provide legal advice and counseling to clients on employment-related matters, including hiring practices, employee discipline, and termination.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings, mediation, and arbitration.
  • Assist in traditional labor matters, including collective bargaining, union campaigns, and labor arbitrations.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in employment litigation, employment counseling, and traditional labor work (preferred).
  • Strong interest in employment litigation.
  • Excellent academic credentials and references.
  • Exceptional writing and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current licensure to practice law in California or eligibility to become licensed.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Licensure to practice law in California or eligibility to become licensed.
