Summary:

Title: Sr. Legal Counsel, Litigation & Investigations
Location: Denver, Colorado (other locations considered)
Salary Range: $145,800 - $258,000 USD
Experience: 10+ years of experience in litigation, investigations, and employment law

Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee outside counsel for domestic and global claims and litigation, including budget management and directing litigation strategy
- Conduct complex investigations in partnership with Employee Relations team, and provide risk-adjusted advice and guidance on remedial measures
- Provide risk-adjusted advice to People Team and other business partners on employment law matters
- Support litigation aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments
- Build and maintain a global litigation function, identifying and implementing process improvements for scalability
- Anticipate potential litigation and provide proactive advice to mitigate risks
- Support Legal department and other business projects as assigned

Requirements:

- JD from accredited institution and licensed to practice law in Colorado, Washington, or Washington, DC
- Prior tech sector experience preferred
- Strong aptitude for working in dynamic environment and desire to work on complex legal issues
- Experience managing strategic defense of complex claims and litigation
- Fluency in translating legal advice into practical, risk-adjusted, business-oriented advice
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Extensive experience building cross-functional relationships
- Highest level of integrity and business ethics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify and develop critical process improvements
