Job Family Summary:
- Responsible for managing Insurance Defense and Tort Litigation/Disputes work
- Handles related issues and matters

Job Summary:
- Represents insured and the company in bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and financial cases
- Prepares for and conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions
- Provides counsel to business clients and collaborates with legal teams
- Monitors new laws and provides advice on impact to business

Key Responsibilities:
- Review new file assignments and develop strategy
- Stay in contact with clients and claims throughout case
- Review evidence and prepare witnesses for legal proceedings
- Conduct depositions and court appearances
- Try and arbitrate cases and prepare motions and appeals
- Investigate and pursue subrogation litigation
- Manage projects and review legal issues
- Participate in business process reviews with claims clients

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- No supervisory duties for this role

Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate and active member of California State Bar
- 3+ years of litigation and/or subrogation experience
- Experience with insurance defense preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LexisNexis, and internet
- Ability to work well in a team and handle a large case inventory
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and travel within the Inland Empire area

Salary:
- $84,,125 per year, based on experience and qualifications
- Bonus eligible
