A law firm in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a seasoned Litigation Attorney to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience, with a focus on high-asset divorce and significant civil litigation cases. The Litigation Attorney will work closely with one of the managing members, handling both collaborative and independent caseloads.

Duties

• Work on high-asset divorce cases and significant civil litigation matters.
• Collaborate with one of the managing members while managing an individual caseload.
• Utilize strong client management skills to foster positive attorney-client relationships.
• Demonstrate exceptional trial skills and serve as the first chair in court proceedings.
• Provide legal counsel and representation in Tidewater courts, leveraging any experience with family law cases.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and preparation.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.

Requirements

• Possess an active Virginia law license.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation.
• Demonstrated first-chair experience in trial proceedings.
• Familiarity with family law and experience in Tidewater courts are advantageous.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Virginia law license.
