A law firm is seeking a Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney in Billings. The Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney will work with clients in the clean energy industry on high-quality projects across the United States. They will preferably have experience in the renewable energy industry and with various agreements such as power purchase agreements, purchase and sale agreements, hedge contacts, and construction contracts. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.

 

Duties:

  • Work with clients in the clean energy industry on renewable energy projects
  • Review and negotiate various agreements related to project development and finance
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on renewable energy projects
  • Collaborate with clients and other stakeholders to achieve project goals
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations affecting renewable energy projects
  • Assist with due diligence and transactional work related to renewable energy projects
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda

 

Requirements:

  • 2-7 years of law firm experience in project development, finance, mergers & acquisitions, or commercial contracts
  • Experience working in the renewable energy industry preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state Bar

 

Skills:

  • Knowledge of renewable energy industry and project development
  • Experience with power purchase agreements, purchase and sale agreements, hedge contracts, and construction contracts
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
