- Strategic and creative federal tax professional with experience serving real estate owners and operators

What You’ll Do

- Provide federal tax consulting and compliance services to Real Estate Investment Trusts, Real Estate Private Equity Funds, and real estate joint ventures and operating partnerships
- Use proprietary technologies to assist clients in streamlining their tax compliance processes
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships in the real estate industry
- Advise clients on a variety of tax issues, including REIT Qualification, impact of Tax Reform on passthroughs and other Real Estate clients, and tax controversy
- Oversee complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects using state of the art technology and data analytics
- Manage engagement workflow, team resources, and billing
- Mentor and develop junior staff

- Clients include investment advisers and administrators from every sector of the industry
- Spectrum of business tax services for public and private companies
- Relevant for investment managers, private equity, Real Estate Investment Trusts, and other real estate owners and operators

Qualifications

Required

- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model
- 8+ years of total corporate or international tax experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Accreditation: CPA, Attorney, Enrolled Agent, CFA, CFP
- Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience
- Experience with US clients and a basic understanding of US tax
- Solid understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills
- Effective communication and research skills
- Self-starter with ability to handle multiple priorities
- Management experience
