Position Summary:

As Commercial Litigation Counsel, you will provide legal services and support to one or more business units within the organization. Your main responsibilities will include advising on legal issues related to commercial contracts, laws and regulations, and dispute resolution. You will also review, draft, and negotiate various agreements with customers and suppliers, provide guidance on dispute resolution, and manage outside counsel. This role requires a broad legal skillset and the ability to provide guidance across multiple areas of law.

Basic Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a licensed practicing attorney
- . degree from a top ABA-accredited law school and state bar membership in good standing
- Strong drafting and presentation skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills (both oral and written)
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Self-directed with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with commercial transactions
- Litigation experience
- General knowledge of construction law and/or product liability

Role and Responsibilities:

- Manage disputes with the support of outside counsel, including through litigation, arbitration, mediation, or settlement negotiations
- Conduct legal research, draft and review motions and pleadings for proceedings
- Lead discovery processes and depositions
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements
- Provide education and training on legal matters to internal business units
- Manage external lawyers
- Gain and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the company's business to contribute to its commercial objectives from a legal standpoint

Physical and Mental Requirements:

In this role, you may be required to attend meetings in and out of the office, travel domestically and internationally, and work independently or as part of a team. This job also requires certain mental demands, including the ability to use judgment, handle moderate amounts of stress, and maintain attention to detail with or without a reasonable accommodation.
