The Insurance Defense Attorney at Liberty Mutual will work remotely, with occasional required appearances. They will be responsible for representing Liberty Mutual and their policyholders in moderately complex civil litigation and workers' compensation matters. The attorney will also manage the entire legal process, from investigation to trial prep, and negotiate settlements when necessary.

As an engaged legal professional, the attorney will research applicable laws and develop appropriate legal strategies for each stage of litigation. They will also establish and maintain relationships with internal and external partners and conduct training sessions for other departments. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, analytical thinking abilities, and a process-oriented mindset.

Qualifications for this position include being a member of the California Bar and having at least one year of experience as an attorney. Special licenses to practice before boards or federal courts are preferred. Familiarity with insurance law and proficiency with relevant technologies are also desired.
