Job Details:

  • Understands all client policies and procedures, conducting all firm business within those guidelines
  • Researches and comprehends laws, statutes, constitutions, regulations, and court rules, including industry trends, conducting all firm business within those guidelines
  • Prepares cases, attends court hearings, conference calls, consults with client witnesses, completes the discovery process, develops case and testimony, completes filings, motions, and submissions, and supervises paralegal
  • Manages cases by monitoring schedules, expediting requirements, obtaining and forwarding information
  • Supports firm and clients by initiating and maintaining open communications, keeping the firm informed of any workflow issues or policy changes
  • Maintains cost standards by monitoring expenses and recommending cost-saving opportunities
  • Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, implementing changes
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in continuing educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

 

Requirements:

  • JD from an ABA school required
  • Admitted to practice in the State of California
  • Superior analytical skills and strong written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of the litigation process, from suit filing through and including judgment enforcement, is a must
  • Experience in commercial collection law is a plus
  • Must be located in California
