Job Overview: A law firm in Irvine, CA, is seeking a highly skilled Professional Liability Attorney with a strong background in complex civil litigation and professional liability matters. Duties:

• Represent clients in professional liability cases, including legal malpractice, accounting malpractice, and other professional misconduct claims
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex legal issues related to professional liability matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents
• Prepare and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
• Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to clients on risk management and litigation avoidance strategies
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to effectively manage caseload and meet deadlines
• Maintain accurate and timely billing records and client communication logs

Requirements:

• California Bar membership in good standing
• Minimum 7+ years of experience practicing law with a focus on complex civil litigation and/or professional liability matters
• Strong academic credentials, including a Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school
• Demonstrated track record of success in handling professional liability cases from inception to resolution
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the State Bar of California
