Job Overview: A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking a Patent Engineer or Agent with 2+ years of prosecution experience at a firm or in-house. Duties:

  • Conduct patent prosecution activities, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications.

  • Collaborate with attorneys on patent analysis/opinions of counsel and Inter Partes Reviews (IPRs).
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in video processing, video codecs, virtual/augmented reality, and AI.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • 2+ years of prosecution experience at a firm or in-house.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in video processing and video codecs.
  • Familiarity with video coding standards.
  • Experience in virtual/augmented reality and AI is a plus.
  • Graduate-level experience or an advanced technical degree is a plus.
  • Admission to the USPTO is a plus.
