Salary Information: The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $198,500 to $368,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Key Responsibilities:

- Providing legal advice and resolving legal issues related to early research and clinical trials, biomarker and genomic research, real world data, and pre-approval and expanded access to investigational medicinal products.
- Acting as lead legal counsel for global development programs involving external collaborators.
- Identifying and addressing legal issues, building relationships with client groups, and advising leaders in the research and development and medical affairs organizations.
- Consulting and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support R&D activities.

Qualifications:

- JD required, must be licensed and currently in good standing to practice law in one or more jurisdictions.
- Must have at least 7 years of recent relevant legal experience.
- Must be able to work global working hours.
- Significant knowledge of human subject protection laws, FDA regulations, privacy laws, and other applicable federal and state laws.
- Significant transactional experience involving clinical development programs, data sharing arrangements, and research collaborations.

Critical Competencies:

- Demonstrated success in driving results related to pharmaceutical research and development.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects.
- Interest and aptitude to learn the scientific/technical side of the business.
