Job Overview:

  • Provide legal support and expertise in project finance, structured asset-based finance, and non-recourse lending transactions.
  • Collaborate with experienced partners and senior lawyers for mentorship and guidance.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

Duties:

  • Execute transactional tasks related to project finance and structured asset-based finance.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on financing structures and regulatory requirements.
  • Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
  • Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and counterparties regarding transactional matters.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of transactional experience, focusing on project finance and/or structured asset-based finance.
  • Previous experience in major law firms representing sponsors, developers, borrowers, lenders, or investors.
  • Familiarity with secured lending, tax equity, LLC financings, and joint ventures.
  • Strong interest in clean energy and climate infrastructure finance preferred.
  • Superior academic credentials with a JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California Bar or eligibility to waive into California.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
