The ideal candidate should be admitted to the State Bar of California and have 5-10 years of experience in defense of general liability matters. This role requires significant experience in conducting discovery, taking depositions, preparing motions, and assisting with trial preparation. The candidate should be capable of working independently with limited supervision.

Duties:

• Handle defense of general liability matters
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Take and defend depositions
• Prepare for and attend court hearings and trials
• Assist with trial preparation and strategy
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members
• Manage case files, documents, and deadlines

Requirements:

• Admission to the State Bar of California
• 5-10 years of experience in defense of general liability matters
• Strong background in conducting discovery and taking depositions
• Experience preparing and arguing motions
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admitted to practice law in the State of California
