Job Overview: A law firm seeks a skilled Patent Lawyer with at least 2 years of patent prosecution experience, particularly in 5G, Wi-Fi, artificial intelligence (AI), processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front-end technologies. The ideal candidate should possess strong academic credentials, exceptional analytical abilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. An Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent is preferred. Registration with the United States Patent Trademark Office ("USPTO") is required, and candidates must be admitted to and in good standing with the Bar or eligible for a waiver.

Duties:

  • Conduct patent prosecution activities, including drafting and filing patent applications, responding to office actions, and managing patent portfolios.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel on patent matters, including patentability assessments, infringement analysis, and validity opinions.
  • Collaborate with clients and inventors to understand technology innovations and develop patent strategies.
  • Conduct patent searches and prior art analyses to support prosecution and litigation efforts.
  • Assist in intellectual property due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and licensing agreements.
  • Stay updated on relevant patent laws, regulations, and case law developments.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of patent prosecution experience.
  • Experience in patent prosecution related to 5G, Wi-Fi, artificial intelligence (AI), processor and memory systems, image processing, and RF front-end technologies.
  • Excellent academic credentials with a strong focus on Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Registration with the United States Patent Trademark Office ("USPTO") or eligibility for registration.
  • Admission to and in good standing with the Bar, or eligibility for waiver.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (required).
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school (preferred).

Certifications:

  • Registered Patent Attorney with the United States Patent Trademark Office ("USPTO").
