A law firm in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Regulatory Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience. The ideal candidate must be a member of the Virginia State Bar in good standing, possess excellent academic credentials, exceptional verbal/written communication skills, highly-developed research capabilities, and exhibit a strong desire to learn. Experience with litigating governmental enforcement actions and advising on regulatory compliance issues is preferred, along with clerkship experience.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients on regulatory compliance matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to regulatory issues.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and compliance reports.
  • Represent clients in governmental enforcement actions and other regulatory proceedings.
  • Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Interact with regulators and regulated entities on behalf of clients.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff members on complex regulatory matters.
  • Assist with client development and business generation activities.

 

Requirements:

  • Membership in the Virginia State Bar in good standing.
  • Excellent academic credentials from a reputable law school.
  • 1-3 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly-developed research capabilities.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in the field of regulatory law.
  • Experience with litigating governmental enforcement actions preferred.
  • Experience advising on regulatory compliance issues preferred.
  • Clerkship experience is a plus.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Membership in the Virginia State Bar.
