The candidate will handle complex and challenging cases, representing clients in various legal matters. Responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, preparing for trial, and collaborating with the legal team to develop case strategies.

 

Duties:

  • Handle a wide range of litigation cases, including conducting legal research and drafting pleadings and motions.
  • Prepare for trial by interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence, and developing case strategies.
  • Participate in client meetings, depositions, negotiations, and court hearings.
  • Analyze, research, and draft briefs addressing sophisticated legal issues on complex litigation matters, including motions to dismiss, summary judgment, class certification motions, writs, and appeals.
  • Ensure compliance with courtroom procedures and effectively present cases in court.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the highest level of client representation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest legal developments and embody the firm's core values of professionalism and attention to detail.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in California and in good standing with the CA State Bar.
  • 6-8 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on handling complex cases.
  • Trial preparation experience, including developing case strategies and gathering evidence.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills for drafting legal documents and briefs.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks.
  • Familiarity with courtroom procedures and presenting cases in court.
