Job Duties:

  • Conduct tax, estate, and trust planning for clients, including drafting documents and providing legal advice.

  • Represent clients in tax-related litigation, including disputes with tax authorities and other parties.
  • Conduct legal research on tax laws, regulations, and precedent cases to support client cases and provide guidance.
  • Prepare legal briefs, memos, and other documents for internal and external use.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to meet client needs and deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
  • Stay updated on developments in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed advice to clients.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in Idaho or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in tax law, estate planning, and/or trust administration.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations at the federal and state levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior professional experience in a similar role.
  • Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation or related field.

Certifications:
