The Insurance Tax Manager position is a full-time, corporate tax role within the Financial Services Tax practice at PwC. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tax advisory services to clients in the insurance industry, with a focus on both domestic and international tax issues. They will also have the opportunity to work with a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide tax advisory services to clients in the insurance industry, with a focus on both domestic and international tax issues.
- Act as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners.
- Help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties.
- Provide advice on tax implications of deals.
- Navigate the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment related to stringent capital requirements, management of operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions.
- Assist clients with their tax structuring while addressing the challenges of the continuously changing tax world, both locally and globally.
- Develop new skills outside of your comfort zone.
- Resolve issues that prevent the team from working effectively.
- Coach others, recognise their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development.
- Analyse complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations.
- Use multiple sources of information, including broader stakeholder views, to develop solutions and recommendations.
- Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet the expectations of the firm or client.
- Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.
- Develop a point of view on key global trends and how they impact clients.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in public accounting, internal domestic insurance tax departments, or internal foreign insurance departments.
- CPA or member of the Bar certification preferred.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of the tax issues affecting the insurance industry.
- Comprehensive technical skills in FAS 109, FIN 48, tax provision preparation audit and review, and corporate and partnership tax compliance.
- Experience identifying and addressing client needs, building and maintaining client relationships, communicating value propositions, managing resources, and preparing complex written and verbal materials.
- Experience as a team leader, supervising teams, seeking diverse views, and coaching staff.
- Demonstrated success as a tax technical business advisor, with the ability to develop new relationships and sell new services.
- Familiarity with a CRM system preferred.
- Knowledge of automation and digitization in a professional services environment.
- Ability to work with large, complex data sets and leverage data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of alternative fee arrangements, including pricing tools.
- Understanding of the One Firm mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to upholding the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

Salary Information:

- Salary range for this position is $100,000 to $140,000 per year.
- Actual salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
