A law firm is seeking a Rate Cap And Real Estate Finance Staff Attorney.

Job Overview: The Rate Cap And Real Estate Finance Staff Attorney will primarily draft rate hedge (cap and swap) agreements and other transactional documents. They will also manage the flow of information related to hedges among lenders, borrowers, swap dealers, and counsel involved in commercial real estate transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting rate hedge (cap and swap) agreements and other transactional documents.
• Managing the flow of information related to hedges among lenders, borrowers, swap dealers, and counsel involved in commercial real estate transactions.
• Providing legal support for interest rate derivative transactions.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
• Managed and trained legal staff, including paralegals and junior associates.

Requirements:

• 6 years of legal experience in rate hedge agreements.
• Well-versed in documenting interest rate cap and swap agreements required in connection with commercial real estate financings.
• Working knowledge of ISDA master agreements and other derivatives trading documentation (preferred).
• Experience managing and training legal staff, including paralegals and junior associates (preferred).
• Juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to and in good standing with the relevant VA Bar.
