A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a Demands/Litigation Associate Attorney to manage a significant caseload and handle various aspects of personal injury litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, prior personal injury experience, and be admitted to the California Bar.

 

Duties:

  • Manage a significant caseload of personal injury cases.
  • Draft and file pleadings, notices, and other documents with the court.
  • Track cases with upcoming statutes of limitations and service of process.
  • Review court documents and attend court hearings as needed.
  • Review medical records, insurance correspondence, and settlement releases on behalf of clients.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments, including Case Management, Demands, and Liens.
  • Maintain communication with clients to guide them through the lawsuit filing and settlement process.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to the California Bar.
  • 1-2 years of experience in personal injury law preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

 

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage a significant caseload efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and ability to review complex legal documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in personal injury litigation is highly preferred.
