Tax Manager - Investment Management - Private Equity Tax (Central Region Office Locations)

Overview:

- Exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager to join our growing team in the largest growth area of the tax industry
- Opportunity to develop and thrive in the most strategic part of our tax practice and serve our largest clients
- Position is available in 29 locations across the US

Position Summary:

- Utilize prior experience to provide tax compliance and advisory services to investment management clients
- Assist clients with effective analysis, solution development, and implementation of tax objectives
- Manage client relationships by delivering tax advisory services

Responsibilities:

- Perform high-level reviews of tax research, partnership work papers, allocations, and tax filings
- Prepare and lead client meetings on compliance and advisory projects related to tax planning opportunities and implications of transactions
- Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors
- Take on lead client-contact roles
- Conduct billing and profitability analysis on engagements
- Participate in marketplace eminence building and pursuits

- Team is comprised of over 1,400 partners, principals, and employees providing a spectrum of tax services to a broad range of Investment Management companies
- Clients include investment advisers and administrators from every sector of the industry

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on work and client needs
- 5+ years' experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns
- 3+ years' experience with investment management or partnership taxation
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field
- One of the following accreditations obtained:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
- Licensed Attorney
- Enrolled Agent
- Certifications:
- Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA)
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP)

Preferred:

- Previous Big 4 experience or large CPA firm equivalent
- Experience managing projects including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Salary Information:

- Wage range for this role is $84,980 to $169,650, taking into account factors such as skill sets, experience, and training
- Range has not been adjusted for geographic location
- Compensation decisions are dependent on individual circumstances, and it is not typical for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role
- Eligible for discretionary annual incentive program based on individual and organizational performance
