A law firm located in New Orleans, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney or Of Counsel with 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will possess a federal clerkship background, superior academic credentials, and exceptional writing and analytical capabilities. Experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing is highly desirable. The candidate should have meaningful involvement in ongoing litigation cases on a national scale. A valid law license is mandatory for this position.

 

Duties:

  • Handle complex commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and drafting of pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Participate in all aspects of discovery, including Electronic Discovery processes.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys, and clients to develop case strategies and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior associates and legal staff as needed.
  • Stay updated on changes in federal and state laws, court rules, and legal trends relevant to litigation practice.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
  • Federal clerkship background preferred.
  • Superior academic credentials.
  • Exceptional writing and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing highly desirable.
  • Valid law license in good standing.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Valid law license in good standing.

 

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
