A law firm seeks a Senior Family Law Attorney for its San Diego, CA, location.

Job Overview: The Senior Family Law Attorney will provide expert legal counsel and representation in various family law matters, including, but not limited to, divorce, child custody, spousal support, and domestic violence cases. The ideal candidate will understand California family law statutes and court procedures strongly.

Duties:

• Carefully crafting important court filings and supporting documents, including draft family law pleadings, initial filings, Requests for Orders, ex parte paperwork, discovery, client declarations, stipulations, and temporary restraining orders.
• Expertly researching statutes, case law, opinions, briefs, and other information needed for cases.
• Assiduously following up on correspondence with clients, opposing counsel, and experts.
• Vigorously representing clients and their interests in court.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school
• A CA State Bar License is required
• Certified Family Law Specialist, preferred
• 6 years of litigating experience
• Knowledge of the California Family Code, the Code of Civil Procedure, the Evidence Code, California Rules of Professional Conduct, California Rules of Court, and applicable local rules
