A law firm is seeking a Junior Trusts And Estate Associate Attorney in Raleigh, NC.

Job Overview:

The Junior Trusts And Estate Associate Attorney will represent executors during all stages of the estate administration process. They will assist clients with gathering information from third-party providers, prepare inventory and accounting documents, and manage a busy administration practice. Additionally, the role entails researching estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer, and income tax issues, and maintaining efficiency and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Duties:

  • Represent executors during all stages of the estate administration process
  • Assist clients with gathering information from third-party providers
  • Prepare inventory and accounting documents
  • Manage a busy administration practice, including proactive deadline and matter scheduling and management
  • Conduct research on estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer, and income tax issues
  • Follow the process of client intake, document preparation, and ongoing communications

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in administering estates of all sizes in North Carolina
  • Ability to work independently and administer client files
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar (preferred)
