Deloitte is hiring a Tax Senior Manager for their Real Estate Services Tax practice. This role is available in 27 different locations and offers a competitive salary range of $119,490 to $272,090, with the potential for additional bonuses through a discretionary annual incentive program. Position Summary: The Tax Senior Manager will be responsible for providing compliance and consulting services to Real Estate Investment Trusts, Real Estate Private Equity Funds, and real estate joint ventures and operating partnerships. This role requires a strong understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and Real Estate Investment Trust qualification rules. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and creative federal tax professional with experience in serving real estate owners and operators. What You'll Do: - Provide federal tax consulting and compliance services to clients in the Real Estate industry sector - Work directly with clients, manage the tax engagement team, and have access to a group of specialists when needed - Use state of the art technology to assist clients in streamlining their tax compliance processes - Maintain and develop strong client relationships - Advise clients on a variety of tax issues, including REIT Qualification and Tax Reform impact - Oversee complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects using data analytics - Manage engagement workflow, team resources, and billing - Mentor and develop junior staff, providing leadership and career guidance The Team: As global leaders in providing professional services to the Real Estate industry, Deloitte works with clients to address a range of critical issues brought on by regulatory changes, competition, globalization, advances in technology, and the changing demands of their customers. Qualifications: Required: - Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model - 8+ years of total corporate or international tax experience - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field - One of the following accreditations: CPA, Attorney, Enrolled Agent, CFA, CFP - Ability to travel up to 25% Preferred: - Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM - Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience - Experience with US clients and a basic understanding of US tax - Solid understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills - Demonstrated effective communication and research skills - Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities - Management experience Deloitte's purpose is to make an impact that matters for our clients, our people, and in our communities.
