A law firm in Wilmington is seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney with a primary focus on medical malpractice defense. The ideal candidate should possess a Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school and an active Bar license in Maryland, with a preference for a DC Bar license. The candidate should exhibit strong research and writing skills, along with experience in trial and litigation. This position requires proficiency in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.

Duties:

• Represent clients in medical malpractice defense cases.
• Conduct legal research using various tools, including Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Prepare and participate in trials, hearings, and depositions.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies.
• Maintain client relationships and provide legal counsel as needed.
• Stay updated on relevant legal developments and changes in medical malpractice laws.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar license in Maryland; DC Bar license is a plus.
• Prior trial/litigation experience is preferred.
• Strong research and writing skills.
