A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney and Office Manager for its Los Angeles, CA office.

Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney and Office Manager will be crucial in managing the firm's active cases, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring efficient workflow within the office. Reporting directly to the principal attorney, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, legal expertise, and managerial acumen.

Duties:

  • Manage the Firm's active cases to achieve client goals and protect client interests effectively.
  • Implement, manage, and improve collections, judgment enforcement, and litigation processes.
  • Supervise, train, and assign duties and responsibilities to the Firm's staff.
  • Liaise with the Firm's clients, of counsels, and outside vendors.
  • Review and execute pleadings, applications, notices, etc., as prepared by the Firm's staff.
  • Aggressively advocate for client interests in judgment debtor examinations, motion practice hearings, and bench trials (in person as needed).
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, responses, discovery, etc.
  • Ability to travel to various state, federal, and bankruptcy courtrooms within California as required.
  • Perform duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice in California's state, federal, and bankruptcy courts.
  • 5 years of civil litigation experience.
  • Debt collections and judgment enforcement experience are strongly preferred.
  • Previous management experience is strongly preferred.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word Perfect, Amicus, Zoom, ShareSync/DropBox, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
