Summary

Pravati Capital is searching for a Corporate Litigation Counsel to join their growing team. This position will report to the CEO and will work with the legal and executive leadership team on complex business and legal matters. The Corporate Litigation Counsel will handle litigation and arbitration matters, provide legal counsel and guidance to upper management, review legal documents, represent the company in judicial and administrative proceedings, and select and retain outside counsel. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of litigation experience, a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business, a , and strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, and organizational skills. This position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience.

H2: Duties & Responsibilities

• Handle litigation and/or arbitration matters internally and with outside counsel.
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to the officers of Pravati and other upper management on all legal matters.
• Review, research, interpret, and prepare written and oral opinions on a wide variety of legal issues.
• Review contracts and other legal documents; research legal issues and recommend revisions as necessary.
• Represent or oversee the representation of Pravati and upper management in judicial and administrative proceedings, and in negotiations with other parties.
• Select and retain outside counsel, as required, to obtain legal opinions or to handle claims and litigation.
• Supervise legal work of other attorneys, paralegals, and outside counsel; consult on difficult or sensitive issues.
• Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations.

H2: Education & Experience Requirements

• 5-10 years of litigation experience
• Bachelor’s Degree – Finance or Business preferred

• Ability to provide competent legal advice and counsel to senior officials on a wide range of legal and policy issues.
• Ability to analyze and interpret issues and to prepare legal opinions.
• Knowledge of current and developing legal issues and trends in area of expertise.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate the work of legal professionals, paraprofessionals, and consultants.
• Knowledge of financial/business analysis techniques.
• Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, and organizational skills.
