Introduction to the National Tax Team

Responsibilities:

- Serve as a trusted tax technical resource for the firm
- Drive resolution of complex tax technical matters
- Collaborate with individuals at all levels within the firm
- Lead technical tax research and communicate findings
- Manage projects and provide coaching and development
- Collaborate with the Learning & Development team
- Develop internal and external written tax communications
- Evaluate implications of new tax law changes
- Conduct technical research related to tax positions taken
- Participate in internal and external activities for visibility and recognition

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 7 years tax professional experience
- CPA or Bar License required
- Experience coaching and managing a team
- Advanced knowledge of technical taxation
- Familiarity with research software and the Internal Revenue code
- Self-directed professional with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to travel as needed

National Tax Team:
- Plays an instrumental role in achieving firm tax practice goals
- Responsible for collaborating with tax leaders and team members
- Assists teams on client-specific tax matters
- Provides training on technical matters
- Stays informed on developing tax legislation
- Creates internal and external tax-related communications

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted tax technical resource for the firm
- Drive resolution of complex tax technical matters with high levels of uncertainty and risk
- Collaborate with individuals at all levels within the firm to identify and develop opportunities
- Lead technical tax research and communicate findings
- Manage projects and provide coaching and development
- Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to facilitate tax technical training
- Develop internal and external written tax communications
- Evaluate implications of new tax law changes and provide recommendations to tax leadership
- Conduct technical research related to tax positions taken and communicate findings
- Participate in internal and external activities for visibility and recognition

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, emphasis in accounting or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 7 years tax professional experience required, experience in public accounting or law firm preferred
- CPA or Bar License required
- Experience coaching and managing a team, including technical development of tax professionals
- Advanced knowledge of technical taxation and associated structures
- Familiarity with research software and comfortable working with the Internal Revenue code, regulations, and authorities
- Self-directed professional with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex issues and present to large or small groups
- Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel as needed

Salary Information:
- California: $131,000 - $260,000
- Colorado: $140,000 - $215,000
- Washington: $130,000 - $211,000
- Remote: $130,000 - $215,000
- Annual discretionary bonus potential
- Pay may vary based on internal equity, knowledge, experience, skillset, and geographic location
