Job Duties:

• Conduct legal research and provide analysis on labor and employment law issues.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.
• Represent clients in administrative hearings and proceedings.
• Take depositions and prepare witnesses for depositions and trial testimony.
• Serve as second chair in trials, assisting with trial preparation and strategy.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience practicing labor and employment law, focusing on California employment law.
• Active license to practice law in California.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent legal writing and communication skills.
• Experience taking depositions and participating in trials.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous federal clerkship experience.
• Familiarity with employment litigation and administrative proceedings.
• Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
