A prominent law firm in Los Angeles is on the lookout for a talented Mid-level Employment Law Counseling and Compliance Associate Attorney to enhance their distinguished team. This is a unique opportunity for a legal professional with a strong background in employment law, including the preparation of employment policies and agreements, counseling on employee relations matters such as discipline and termination, accommodation requests, leaves of absence, and conducting workplace investigations. Preferred candidates will also bring anti-harassment and employment training experience.
As a Mid-level Employment Law Counseling and Compliance Associate Attorney, you will play a vital role in providing expert guidance on labor and employment matters. Your responsibilities will include navigating federal and state labor laws, such as wage and hour regulations, trade secret law, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ADEA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and similar state laws. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to utilize your legal skills in certain aspects of litigation, including interviewing witnesses, reviewing electronically stored documents, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting and defending depositions, and interacting with clients and opposing counsel.
The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctorate degree, strong academic credentials, and admission to practice law in California. With a minimum of four years of relevant experience in employment law counseling and compliance, you'll be well-prepared to make a significant impact.
