Job Title: Tax Senior - Real Estate Tax (Central Region Office Locations) Experience: 3+ years Department: Business Tax Services Salary Range: $68,180 - $144,300 Location: 29 locations in the Central Region Position Summary: - Seeking an experienced Tax Senior for our growing team in the Central Region to provide tax compliance and consulting services to investment management clients in the real estate industry. - This role requires a solid understanding of partnership allocation methodologies, Subchapter K, and the tax compliance process for real estate funds. - The ideal candidate will have experience with consulting for major players in the real estate industry and using the latest tax technologies. - Recruiting for this role ends on June 1, 2025. Work You'll Do: - Work within an engagement team to identify complex tax issues and provide tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates. - Perform detail-level reviews of partnership work papers, allocations, and tax returns. - Prepare materials and research for consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities. - Coordinate and communicate with client contacts to gather information for tax returns. - Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced-level tax staff. - Attend required trainings. Qualifications: Required: - Ability to work within a hybrid work model that requires co-locating in person 2-3 days per week. - 3+ years of experience providing tax planning services or preparing client work papers and income tax returns. - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field. - Active accreditation such as CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications such as CFA or CFP. - Basic understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and the tax compliance process for real estate funds. - Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment. - Ability to travel up to 25% based on the work and clients served. Preferred: - Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM. - Experience working in a virtual and/or global environment. - Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions. - Experience with accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC740. - Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience. - Excellent research, writing, presentation, and communication skills.
