A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a dedicated and experienced Labor and Employment Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of law firm experience specializing in labor and employment law, with a strong background in managing cases, engaging in negotiations, and representing clients in court. This role requires excellent analytical, research, and writing skills and the ability to handle complex litigation, including class action lawsuits. Big firm experience is a plus, and active membership in the California Bar is mandatory.

Duties:

• Manage and run labor and employment cases from inception to resolution.
• Communicate and negotiate effectively with opposing counsel.
• Argue motions and present cases in court.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft compelling legal documents.
• Provide legal advice and representation to clients in labor and employment matters.
• Participate in trial preparation and, if necessary, represent clients in trials.
• Handle employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and class action lawsuits.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of law firm experience in labor and employment law.
• Proven capability to manage cases independently.
• Strong experience in negotiating and communicating with opposing counsel.
• Demonstrated ability to argue motions in court effectively.
• Exceptional analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Experience in trial and employment litigation.
• Class action experience preferred.
• Big firm experience is a plus.
• Active membership in the California Bar is required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
