A law firm in Salt Lake City is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney who will be responsible for handling various aspects of commercial litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have experience drafting pleadings and motions, arguing hearings, taking and defending depositions, and managing day-to-day litigation matters.

Duties:

• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to commercial litigation cases.
• Argue hearings and represent clients' interests effectively in court proceedings.
• Take and defend depositions of witnesses and parties involved in litigation matters.
• Manage day-to-day tasks and responsibilities related to litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders regarding case developments.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations to resolve disputes.
• Prepare for trial by organizing evidence, interviewing witnesses, and developing case strategies.
• Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys, and legal staff to ensure effective case management.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Ability to argue hearings and represent clients in court proceedings.
• Proficiency in taking and defending depositions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality work.
• Prior experience in commercial litigation preferred.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
