  • Independently prepare and respond to written discovery in wage and hour litigation, with minimal supervision.
  • Participate in depositions and motion hearings related to discovery issues.
  • Develop and implement discovery plans for wage and hour cases.
  • Draft persuasive legal documents, including motions opposing class certification in wage and hour matters.
  • Interface with clients, demonstrating professionalism and competency in addressing legal and strategic aspects of wage and hour litigation.
  • Ensure effective communication and diligent follow-through on all assigned tasks.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the defense of wage and hour litigation, preferably including class actions.
  • Proven experience in preparing and responding to written discovery.
  • Deposition and motion experience related to discovery matters.
  • Strong understanding of California and federal wage and hour laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to convey professionalism and competence while interacting with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certification in Employment Law or related field (optional).
