Salary range: $68,180 to $144,300

The Multistate Tax Services (MTS) group at Deloitte is one of the largest State and Local Tax (SALT) practices in the United States, with over 1,000 professionals nationwide. Our team includes former state tax auditors and administrators, industry personnel, tax practitioners, accounting specialists, and technology personnel with extensive multistate tax experience. We offer a range of services including state income and franchise tax, indirect tax, unclaimed property, business restructuring, credits and incentives, sales and use tax outsourcing, excise tax, property tax, state strategic tax review, and state tax controversy.

As a Tax Senior in the Unclaimed Property Tax group, you will work on complex tax projects for a diverse client base in various industries. You will have access to exceptional training and resources to continue developing your technical knowledge in state taxation, as well as opportunities to enhance your supervisory and leadership skills. Your responsibilities will include providing state tax consulting and compliance services, developing strategies to mitigate unclaimed property exposure, and communicating with clients, legal counsel, and state representatives.

Qualifications:

Required
- 3+ years of state and local tax experience
- 1+ years of Unclaimed Property tax experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Accreditation as a CPA, attorney, Enrolled Agent, or CFE
- Ability to travel up to 10% based on the work and clients served

Preferred
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD and/or LLM
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience
- Supervisory experience
