Location: Northern California (remote work available)
Salary: $103,920 - $150,700 (CA only)

Farmers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trial Attorney to join our team in Northern California. We are looking for an attorney who is competent, ethical, and diligent in representing our clients in all assigned cases. The job will involve handling cases of moderate to severe complexity and/or exposure, with the possibility of assisting other attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a law degree, be a member in good standing of the State Bar in the state where the position is located, and have at least three years of experience as an attorney with trial experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Represent clients in cases involving all areas of tort practice
- Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs
- Attend hearings, conferences, interviews, trials or arbitrations
- Consult with and provide opinions to the Claims Department regarding insurance policy questions and legal aspects of personal injury claims
- Keep supervisor informed of work being done and any issues encountered
- Supervise other attorneys as needed
- Maintain and update computerized litigation support systems
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required, law school degree preferred
- Minimum of three years as an attorney with trial experience or equivalent dispositive ADR experience
- Member in good standing of the State Bar in the state where position is located
- Ability to handle cases of moderate to great exposure and/or complexity with minimal supervision
- Public speaking skills
- Ability to handle high case loads in adversarial or confrontational situations
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed
