Duties:

• Participate in mergers and acquisitions transactions from inception to closing
• Provide legal counsel and support to clients in the energy industry
• Draft and review transactional documents, including agreements and contracts
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to corporate and energy law matters
• Collaborate with legal and business teams to ensure compliance and successful deal execution
• Assist with due diligence investigations and analysis

Requirements:

• 3-7 years of law firm experience in corporate transactions
• Significant experience in mergers and acquisitions
• Expertise in the energy industry, including power, renewable energy, and oil and gas
• Familiarity with project finance, infrastructure development, construction contracts, and tax equity transactions is advantageous
• Strong academic record with excellent writing and drafting skills
• Licensed to practice law in Virginia preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Virginia State Bar (preferred)
