The candidate will be responsible for gathering necessary documents, negotiating settlement offers, preparing demand letters, managing and negotiating cases with insurance providers, overseeing a dedicated legal assistant, and maintaining regular client communication.

 

Duties:

  • Gather necessary documents, evidence, and information related to personal injury claims.
  • Negotiate settlement offers and prepare demand letters.
  • Manage and negotiate cases with insurance providers.
  • Effectively handle a full caseload.
  • Oversee and manage a dedicated full-time legal assistant.
  • Prioritize regular client communication.
  • Open new files and make initial client contact, continuing regular contact with clients.
  • Fully investigate each case, gathering and analyzing intake information and relevant documents.
  • Enter pertinent information into the ATO database.
  • Verify insurance coverage and liability issues, maintaining contact with insurance companies.
  • Manage client's medical care, staying in constant communication with clients and medical providers.
  • Schedule and calendar medical appointments, explain procedures and provide related documentation to clients.
  • Continuously monitor case status and review medical records.
  • Organize and maintain case files, preparing files for submission to demand writers.
  • Maintain active membership in the Florida Bar Association in good standing.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience managing a heavy personal injury caseload.
  • Active membership in the Florida Bar Association in good standing.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
