Senior Corporate Counsel 1 - Privacy: A Role Overview

Snowflake, a leading data management company, is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Corporate Counsel 1 - Privacy to join their team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to draft, negotiate, and close privacy and data protection agreements with customers, vendors, and partners. You will also work closely with various teams to drive revenue and support commercial and procurement attorneys on data protection issues. This is an in-person role based in Dublin, CA, Atlanta, GA, or Bellevue, WA.

The Ideal Candidate for Senior Corporate Counsel 1 - Privacy

We are looking for a candidate with 7+ years of privacy legal experience, preferably in-house with a successful enterprise SaaS company. The ideal candidate will also have excellent negotiation skills and knowledge of worldwide data protection regulations, including GDPR and HIPAA. Additionally, experience with financial services regulations and SaaS industry cybersecurity concepts is preferred. The ability to think and execute strategically and tactically, as well as exceptional written and oral communication skills, are also necessary for this role.

Responsibilities of Senior Corporate Counsel 1 - Privacy

As a Senior Corporate Counsel 1 - Privacy, your responsibilities will include:

- Drafting, negotiating, and closing privacy and data protection agreements with customers, vendors, and partners
- Working closely with global sales, product, security, and partner teams to drive revenue
- Supporting commercial and procurement attorneys on data protection issues in negotiations
- Staying up-to-date on . and international legislation, regulations, and industry guidelines related to privacy and security
- Developing and delivering training on contract templates, playbooks, and customer facing collateral covering data protection and security issues
- Providing sound advice and guidance to senior business leaders on legal and business-related issues
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of templates, policies, and processes related to contracting
- Occasionally traveling, including to California

Salary and Benefits Information

The estimated base salary range for this role is $180,000 - $252,000, with eligibility for participation in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan. The starting salary for the successful candidate will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and location. This role also includes a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and paid time off.
